This is the perfect location for those who want to get away from it all.
For the more energetic, there are many walks from the door and the mountain Pen y Fan, which is short drive, offers a sterner test for the intrepid. Other activities in the area include golfing, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding, pony trekking and watersports including canoeing.
The nearby market town of Brecon is an ancient trading town which has museums, a castle dating back to Norman times and a cathedral. With good options for eating out, some choice pubs, cinema, theatre, shopping, and golf courses, the town is only a short drive from Millhouse cottage. Famous for it’s bookshops and literary festival, the town of Hay on Wye is also a popular local spot.
